Microtech Communications ISO 9001 recertification certificate

Microtech Communications Ltd has achieved ISO 9001 recertification following an independent audit by ISOQAR on 1 October 2026. This renewal continues our commitment to quality management across our data cabling and network infrastructure services.

Following the audit on 1 October 2026, ISOQAR has renewed our certification until 30 September 2029, subject to ongoing monitoring and effective maintenance of our quality management system.

For customers choosing a data cabling contractor, technical experience matters. So does knowing that the company delivering the work has established processes for understanding requirements, managing projects and addressing issues.

Our ISO 9001 recertification provides independent assurance of the quality management system that supports our work for private and public sector organisations across the UK.

What does ISO 9001 recertification mean?

Organisations worldwide use ISO 9001 as a standard for quality management systems. It provides a framework for managing business processes, meeting applicable requirements, evaluating performance and making improvements.

Certification relates to an organisation’s management system. It is not a separate approval of every installation or product. Instead, it examines the processes that help a business deliver its services consistently and respond when something needs attention.

For Microtech, this includes how we understand customer requirements, plan work, manage resources, work with suppliers and review the services we provide.

Recertification is an independent assessment of that system. It helps us review how our processes work and identify where we can improve.

Our certified scope

Microtech’s ISO 9001:2015 certification covers:

“The management of data cabling and network infrastructure (voice and data) services to private and public sector organisations across the UK.”

This scope reflects the core of our business: helping organisations install, maintain and improve the infrastructure that supports their communications.

From a single cabling requirement to a wider network infrastructure project, clear planning and communication help everyone understand the work before it begins.

ISOQAR issued our current certificate, number 21411-QMS-001.

Why quality management matters in data cabling projects

Data cabling and fibre optic infrastructure support many of the systems organisations depend on every day. A project may involve several people and stages, including the customer, project manager, engineers, suppliers and other contractors.

In addition, customer feedback provides useful information about how a project has gone. It encourages clear requirements, defined responsibilities and a consistent approach to reviewing the work.

Understanding the customer’s requirements

A successful project starts with understanding what the customer needs.

For a data cabling installation or network upgrade, this can include the location and number of connections, cable specification, site access, working hours and any restrictions affecting the installation.

Recording and reviewing those requirements helps establish a shared understanding of the scope, programme and expected outcome.

Planning installation work

Network infrastructure work often takes place in operational buildings. Access arrangements, coordination with other trades and the potential effect on existing services need consideration.

A structured approach to planning helps identify those issues before work starts. It also provides a basis for managing changes if the customer’s requirements or site conditions develop during the project.

Managing suppliers and resources

Delivering a project depends on having suitable people, equipment and materials available when we need them.

Quality management includes reviewing the resources required for the work and considering how external suppliers and service providers contribute to delivery. It also provides a process for addressing problems such as damaged materials, incomplete deliveries or changes to availability.

Reviewing work and following up issues

Testing, project records and handover information help demonstrate how the completed work meets the customer’s requirements.

Customer feedback also provides useful information about how a project has gone. Reviewing that feedback, alongside any problems encountered, helps identify practical changes that can improve future work.

What recertification means for our customers

Customers need confidence in both the technical work and how we manage their project.

ISO 9001 certification offers an independently assessed reference point when evaluating a contractor’s quality management arrangements. It supports conversations about how we agree requirements, allocate responsibilities and follow through on improvements.

For procurement teams, facilities managers and IT teams, it can also form part of the information considered when selecting a data cabling or network infrastructure provider.

Our renewed certification demonstrates our continuing commitment to maintaining and improving the management system behind our services.

ISO 9001 recertification builds on our commitment to quality

Microtech’s certificate records an initial registration date of 3 October 2017.

This latest recertification continues that commitment. Maintaining a quality management system requires attention between audits as well as during them, with ongoing reviews of processes, performance and opportunities for improvement.

We see those reviews as a practical part of running the business. They help us consider what is working well, where records or processes can be clearer, and how we can support our team in delivering work for customers.

Thank you to everyone at Microtech who contributed to the recertification process, and to our customers, suppliers and partners for their continued support.
